ベアトリスは、スペイン生まれ、現在ロサンゼルスにてタッチセラピストとして禅指圧を実践する一方、視覚芸術にも取り組んでいます。禅指圧は、日本の指圧家・増永静人が経絡の考え方をもとに体系化した手技です。2026年6月から8月にかけてインスティトゥト・セルバンテス東京で開かれたベアトリス発案の展覧会「色彩を纏う身体/布/記憶」のもとになるプライベートセッションを、今回日本で初めて体験していただく機会を用意しました。本セッションでは、シーツに表現されたアートに包まれながら、風呂敷や手ぬぐい、生け花など日本文化の要素も取り入れた、特別なプライベートセッションをご提供します。

スペインでの禅指圧の師が語ってくれた二つの言葉が、30年近く経った今も心に残っています。「ひとつのツボに触れるとき、宇宙全体に触れている」「ひとつひとつの圧は、ただ一度きりのもの」。これが、マインドフルネスが私の施術を導いているあり方です。

長年にわたり、世界各地のさまざまな分野を学び、自分の技法に取り入れてきました。最近では、視覚芸術家たちの独創的な作品をシーツに取り入れています。アートは、施術する人と受ける人を、気づきに満ちた旅へと運ぶ器となってくれます。

日本文化を深く敬愛する者として、この国を訪れ、探求し続けています。私のセッションは、この魅力的な国のさまざまな要素に大きく影響を受けており、風呂敷、手ぬぐい、生け花なども取り入れています。
このたびフェスティバルに参加でき、光栄です。この癒しの芸術を体験してみたい方々に、プライベートセッションをご提供いたします。

伝統中医学では、気、すなわち生命力の流れが、数千年前に「経絡」として描き出されました。その経路は身体を解剖学的な風景としてとらえ、ツボの名称も、地理的な現象や感情の現象になぞらえられています。増永静人先生はこの古代の叡智を発展させ、禅指圧を生み出しました。近年の解剖学研究は、筋膜(ファシア)研究へとつながっています。ギル・ヘドレーのような解剖者たちは、古代にはごく身近だった詩的な言葉を再び用い、人と組織のあいだにある目に見えない空間を探り、身体を「生きた経典」として見つめています。

美術史にも、同じようにフリーズ(帯状装飾)があります。イメージや文様、浮彫が水平に連なる構成です。この装飾の文法は、身体の構造にも見られます。結合組織の層が幾重にも重なり、さまざまな幾何学的配置と豊かな色彩を見せるのです。そこから、人体の外にある自然の風景を連想せずにはいられません。無限ともいえる情報に触れられる今日、私たちは古いレンズも新しいレンズも使うことを許され、芸術と科学の魅力的な交わりへと導かれます。

タッチセラピーは、歴史が身体の組織にどう記されているかを読み解きます。身体はコラーゲン線維で書く。それが身体のインクです。複雑な三次元の解剖学的マトリックスの書(カリグラフィー)と文法が、機能する形を生み出します。書くこととは、人の声が発する、目的と意味をもった構造のある音を捉えることです。

身体の構造の層をひもとくと、私たちが歩く大地の地層とよく似ています。ある組織は空や雲を映し、別の組織は、さまざまな気象条件に応じて変化する水域の、生体油圧版のようです。

My Zen Shiatsu teacher in Spain had two phrases that have stuck with me for almost 3 decades. When you touch one point you touch the whole universe and each pressure is the only one; this is how Mindfulness rules my practice. Over the years I have been collecting different disciplines from all over the world and implementing them in my technique. Most recently I have included the unique work of visual artists in my sheets. Through their art, they provide a vessel that carries the giver and the receiver into an insightful journey.
As a deep admirer of the Japanese culture, I keep visiting and exploring this country. My sessions are very much influenced by many features of these fascinating country and elements like Furoshiki, Tenugui or Ikebana are present.
I am honored to be part of this festival by offering private sessions to the assistants that would like to experience this type of healing art.

In traditional Chinese medicine, the flow of vital force or chi was mapped thousands of years ago in the form of Meridians. Their trajectory conceives the body as an anatomical landscape, the way the different points are named reference, geographical and emotional phenomena. Masunaga Sensei adapted this ancient wisdom giving birth to Zen Shiatsu. The latest anatomy studies have lead to Fascia research. Dissectors like Gil Hedley are now picking up that same poetic language, so present in ancient times, to examine the unseen spaces between people and tissues, viewing the body as a living scripture.

In the same way we find in art history the frieze: a continuous horizontal composition of images, patterns or reliefs. This grammar of the ornament is also present in the architecture of the body, the superposition of the distinct layers of connective tissue that display different geometric configurations and ample color palettes; the association we do to natural spaces outside of the human body are inevitable. The access to infinite information nowadays gives us permission to use the old lenses as well as the new ones leading us to the fascinating convergence of the arts and sciences.

Touch therapy reads on how history is recorded on bodily tissues; the body writes with collagen fibers, that's the body's ink. The calligraphy and grammar of the complex anatomical 3D matrix gives birth to a functional form. Writing consists in capturing purposeful and meaningful structured sounds uttered by human's voice.

Different layers of the body's architecture when unveiled they share resemblance with the stratus of the earth that we walk on. Certain tissues replicate the skies and clouds while others are the bio-hydraulic version of the different bodies of water responding to the different meteorological conditions.
