Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions set forth the conditions for participation in “Mindful City Kamakura Week 2026” (celebrating the 10th anniversary of Zen2.0; hereinafter referred to as “this Event”), organized by the General Incorporated Association Zen2.0 (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”). The purpose of this Event is to contribute to the realization of “Mindful City Kamakura” by offering diverse experiences under the theme “Wa (Harmony) — The Resonance of All Things in the Universe,” based on the spirit of Zen and mindfulness, through collaboration with various individuals, businesses, and organizations (hereinafter referred to as “Participants”) within Kamakura City.
Those wishing to participate must fully understand the contents of these Terms and Conditions and agree to them before applying.
Article 1 (Name and Purpose)

The name of this event shall be “Mindful City Kamakura Week 2026” (Zen2.0 10th Anniversary).

Based on the organizer’s philosophy and under the theme “Wa (Harmony) — The Symphony of All Creation,” this event aims to create opportunities for participants to deepen their spiritual richness, harmony with nature, resonance with all things in the universe, and connections with others through events they plan and carry out themselves, thereby contributing to the realization of a mindful society.
Article 2 (Organizer)
The organizer of this event shall be the General Incorporated Association Zen2.0.
Article 3 (Event Period)

The event period shall be one week, from Saturday, November 14, 2026, to Friday, November 20, 2026.

On Saturday, November 21, 2026, the Zen2.0 10th Anniversary Conference will be held at Kenchō-ji Temple. This conference is organized by the organizer and is not included in the period covered by the participant exhibition program. If you wish to attend the conference, please purchase a separate ticket (participation fee applies) just as general visitors would.
Article 4 (Theme and Event Categories)

The unified theme of this event is “Wa (Harmony) ~ The Resonance of All Things in the Universe ~ / The Symphony of All Creation.”

Participants shall plan and conduct events based on this theme, focusing on the resonance with all things in the universe or the spirituality found in Japan’s natural environment.

While the format of events is open, the following eight categories are provided for reference. Please select the category that best fits your event when applying.

Workshop / Experience (Harmonizing): Opportunities for learning and practice where participants actively engage, such as meditation, yoga, tai chi, calligraphy, the tea ceremony, and mindful eating

Tradition / Tradition (Circulating): Zen experiences at temples and shrines, special viewings, sutra copying, traditional performing arts, etc.

Dialogue / Lectures & Dialogue (Opening): Panel discussions and lectures by leaders from various fields, as well as dialogue among participants, etc.

Performance / Expression (Savoring): Live music, dance, art performances, Noh theater, etc.

Nature & Earth Action / Nature (Circulating): Activities held in nature, such as mindful hiking, beach meditation, forest walks with meditation, and environmental restoration activities, etc.

Exhibition / Exhibition (Savoring): Exhibitions and installations of artworks themed around Zen, nature, and the universe

Food / Food (Savoring): Food-themed events such as mindful eating, shojin ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) experiences, Pu-erh tea ceremonies, and cacao ceremonies

Go Forward / Social Implementation (Opening Up): Case studies of mindfulness implementation in corporations, lectures and sharing sessions related to leadership development, etc.

We also welcome creative ideas that go beyond the categories listed above.
Article 5 (Eligibility)
Eligibility to participate in this event is open to individuals, corporations, organizations, stores, and others who agree to these Terms and Conditions and support the organizer’s objectives.
Article 6 (Participation Requirements)
Those wishing to participate in this event must meet all of the following requirements:

Agree with the objectives of the organizer, the General Incorporated Association Zen2.0.

Plan and conduct an event whose content aligns with the theme of this event, “Wa (Harmony) — The Resonance of All Things in the Universe.”

Display the “Mindful City Kamakura Week” logo, as separately designated by the organizer, at your event venue, store, website, promotional materials, etc., in accordance with the logo usage guidelines provided separately by the organizer.

Submit an application for participation by the deadline using the application form separately designated by the organizer.

The content of the event must not have the promotion of specific political or religious views as its primary purpose.

The event must not violate public order and morals.
-
The applicant must have obtained, or be expected to obtain, the necessary permits and approvals for holding the event.

The applicant must establish a safety management system for the event and have the necessary insurance coverage.
-
The applicant must meet any other criteria established by the organizer.
Article 7 (Application and Screening)

Applicants must complete the application form separately designated by the Organizer, providing the required information—including the event title, overview, date and time, location, participation fee, capacity, target audience, safety measures, and publicity plan—and submit their application.

The Organizer will review the submitted application based on criteria such as alignment with the theme, feasibility, safety, and consistency with the Organizer’s objectives, and will determine whether to approve participation.

If participation is approved as a result of the review, the Organizer shall notify the applicant accordingly and provide payment instructions for the participation fee, logo files, a promotional toolkit, and other relevant materials.

After participation is approved, the Organizer shall publish participant information (organization or individual name, event overview, date and time, location, participation fee, registration link, etc.) on the event’s official website and other platforms based on the information provided. Participants are responsible for verifying that the published information is accurate.

The organizer may refuse participation if it determines that an applicant does not meet the participation requirements or does not align with the purpose of this event. As a general rule, the reasons for such refusals will not be disclosed.
Article 8 (Participation Fee)
The following participation fees apply for participation in this event.

Corporations/Organizations: 10,000 yen (tax included)

Individuals: 4,000 yen (tax included)
Participation fees will be used to cover a portion of the costs associated with event promotion, website operation, and administrative office operations. Payment instructions will be provided separately after participation is approved. As a general rule, participation fees are non-refundable once paid.
Article 9 (Responsibilities Regarding Event Implementation)

Participants shall, at their own risk and expense, handle all aspects of the event, including planning, preparation, implementation, promotion, attendee recruitment, on-site operations on the day of the event, participant support, venue setup and takedown, and cleanup.

Participants are responsible for securing the event venue (including venue reservations and payment). Participants must comply with all rules and regulations governing the use of the venue, as well as applicable laws and ordinances, and complete all necessary procedures. Please note that for venues already reserved by the organizer (such as the Kamakura Lifelong Learning Center), we may accept requests for use on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact the secretariat for details.

Kenchō-ji Temple is reserved exclusively for the Zen2.0 10th Anniversary Conference on Saturday, November 21, 2026, and cannot be used as a venue for participants’ exhibition programs.

Participants shall give the utmost consideration to ensuring the safety of participants and visitors when conducting the event and shall implement necessary safety measures and accident prevention measures. In the unlikely event of an accident or incident, participants shall respond in good faith and at their own responsibility.

Participants shall, at their own responsibility, obtain all necessary permits and approvals, file required notifications, and secure insurance coverage for the event.

Participants shall bear full responsibility for the event’s content, implementation methods, and all related matters (including the handling of rights such as copyrights and portrait rights); the organizer shall bear no responsibility whatsoever.
Article 10 (Ticket Payments and Handling of Sales Proceeds)

Participants shall pay 25% of the sales generated during their own events held during the event period (total sales from ticket sales, merchandise sales, service provision, etc.)—or 10% for sales related to food and merchandise—as a commission to the organizer, the General Incorporated Association Zen2.0.

The period for calculating revenue shall be the duration of this event (November 14, 2026, through November 20, 2026).

As a general rule, the organizer will handle ticket payments for participants’ events on their behalf through the official website of this event. In this case, the organizer will tally the revenue after the event concludes and report it to the participants; the amount remaining after deducting the commission specified in the preceding paragraph will be transferred to the bank account designated by the participant by the end of the month following the event’s conclusion. The transfer will be made under the name “General Incorporated Association Zen2.0 (Mindful City Kamakura Week Operations).”

In the event that revenue is generated outside of the official website (such as through on-site merchandise sales or food and beverage service), the participant shall submit a revenue report to the organizer within 14 days after the event concludes, detailing the revenue by date, type of revenue, and total revenue. The participant shall then transfer the amount calculated at the rate specified in Paragraph 1 to the bank account designated by the organizer within 30 days of submitting the report. In this case, the participant shall bear the transfer fees.

The Organizer may request the submission of supporting documents regarding sales as necessary, and the Participant shall cooperate with such requests.

In the event of any discrepancies in the sales report, the Participant shall, after consultation with the Organizer, promptly correct the payment amount and make the payment.
Article 11 (Provision of Information and Publicity Cooperation)

Participants shall provide the Organizer with the information necessary for publicity on the official website and other platforms (such as event details, images, and contact information for the person in charge) in the format and by the deadline specified by the Organizer.

Participants agree that the Organizer may use the information provided (such as event titles, summaries, and images) free of charge on websites, social media, email newsletters, printed materials, press releases, and other media for the purposes of publicizing and documenting this event.

Participants shall clearly indicate in their own event promotions that their event is part of “Mindful City Kamakura Week” and shall cooperate in raising awareness of the event as a whole by utilizing logos, hashtags, and other materials provided by the Organizer.

During this event, the organizer or a representative designated by the organizer may take photographs or record video footage of each event. Participants agree that the photographs and video footage taken (including those in which participants and attendees appear) may be used free of charge for future promotion of “Mindful City Kamakura Week” (including on the official website, social media, email newsletters, printed materials, press releases, reports, and promotional materials for future events). Participants shall endeavor to inform attendees of their own events of this policy in advance. If you do not wish to be photographed or featured, please notify the organizer in advance.
Article 12 (Use of Logos)

Participants shall use the event logo provided by the Organizer in accordance with the logo usage guidelines separately established by the Organizer.

Use of the logo is limited to purposes related to publicizing this event and the participant’s own event.

Modifying or altering the logo design without the organizer’s permission is prohibited.
Article 13 (Code of Conduct and Sustainability)

Participants shall understand the purpose of this event and treat other participants, visitors, local residents, and the organizer with respect.

Participants shall respect diversity and refrain from any form of discrimination or harassment.

In light of the theme “Wa (Harmony) — The Resonance of All Things in the Universe,” participants shall endeavor to minimize environmental impact (such as reducing and sorting waste, conserving energy, and using sustainable materials) in the planning and execution of the event.
Article 14 (Prohibited Acts)
Participants shall not engage in the following acts:

Acts that violate these Terms and Conditions.

Acts that infringe upon, or are likely to infringe upon, the copyrights, portrait rights, privacy, or other rights of the Organizer, other participants, or third parties.

Acts that slander or defame the Organizer, other participants, or third parties, or acts that damage their reputation or credibility.
-
Acts that violate, or are likely to violate, public order and morals.
-
Acts that violate, or are likely to violate, laws and regulations.
-
Acts that significantly contradict the intent or purpose of this event.
-
Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Organizer.
Article 15 (Revocation of Participation Approval)
If a participant violates these Terms and Conditions, or if the Organizer otherwise determines that the participant is unsuitable, the Organizer may revoke the participant’s approval without prior notice. In such cases, participation fees already paid will not be refunded, and the Organizer shall bear no liability whatsoever for any damages incurred by the participant as a result of the revocation of participation approval.
Article 16 (Disclaimer)

Participants shall participate in this event at their own risk, and the Organizer shall bear no liability whatsoever for any damages arising in connection with participation (including, but not limited to, cancellation or modification of the event, accidents, theft, disputes among participants, or disputes with attendees), except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Organizer.

If it becomes difficult to hold this event due to natural disasters, severe weather, the spread of infectious diseases, instructions or orders from government authorities, or other force majeure events, the Organizer may cancel the event or modify its content. The Organizer shall not be liable for any damages incurred by participants as a result (including refunds of participation fees).

The Organizer shall make every effort to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information provided on the event’s official website and other channels; however, the Organizer does not guarantee such accuracy or completeness.
Article 17 (Handling of Personal Information and Provided Information)

The Organizer will appropriately handle personal information (such as name and contact information) obtained through participation applications and other means, in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy, to the extent necessary for the operation of this event, communication, and the provision of information.

Participants agree that the event information they provide (excluding personal information) may be used by the Organizer for publicity and record-keeping purposes, in accordance with Article 11, Paragraph 2.
Article 18 (Amendments to the Terms and Conditions)
The Organizer may amend these Terms as necessary. The amended Terms shall be announced on the official website of this event and other channels; if a participant continues to engage in activities related to this event after such announcement, the participant shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 19 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. In the event of any dispute arising in connection with this event, the Yokohama District Court shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
